Technician, specializes in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems, particularly those used in transporting refrigerated cargo. Their primary focus is on ensuring that the refrigeration units are functioning correctly to maintain the freshness and quality of temperature-sensitive goods.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Installation, Maintenance, and Repair**:Reefer Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems, including reefer units on trucks, containers, and other transportation vehicles.
- **Troubleshooting**:They diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures in refrigeration systems, identifying the root cause of issues and implementing appropriate repairs.
- **Preventive Maintenance**:They conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the refrigeration units.
- **Component Replacement**:Reefer Technicians replace faulty parts, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and other components, ensuring compatibility with the refrigeration system.
- **Safety Compliance**:They adhere to strict safety regulations and procedures when working with refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
- **Documentation**:They maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
- **Customer Service**:They may interact with clients to discuss repairs, provide estimates, and address customer questions or concerns.
- **Specific Tasks**:

- Ensuring that reefer containers are plugged into electrical sources at port terminals.
- Monitoring the temperature of reefer containers.
- Recording and reporting any temperature excursions or exemptions.
- Performing repairs and diagnostics on starting and charging systems, cooling systems, and electrical systems.
- Identifying and obtaining necessary replacement parts.

Qualification
- Diploma
