**Hotel Cook Job Description - Purple Resorts, Auroville**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and execute a variety of menu items according to our recipes, presentation standards, and quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service hours.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist with ingredient prep, portion control, and restocking to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items and supplies as per resort guidelines.
- Participate in the garnishing and presentation of dishes to create memorable dining experiences for guests.
- Perform opening and closing duties for each assigned shift, including cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area.
- Work collaboratively with other cooks, sous chefs, and service staff to deliver high-quality meals, even during busy periods.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a cook in a hotel or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen safety practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team.
- Attention to detail in food preparation, flavor, and presentation.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for culinary arts.
