**Job Description: UNIX Admin**

This role is for a Linux Specialist to the support the US team working out of India with the following responsibilities:
Maintain operational stability and compliance for risk & control programs to ensure the production environment is not put at risk.

Collaborate with other teams to understand business demand, needs & support during outage scenarios.

Project support work responsibilities to on-board new Linux assets for growth or large programs such as new data center build outs as needed.

**Skills Required**:

- 4-6 years of Linux-Unix system support and administration Enterprise Level Experience in large - distributed environment.
- Experience Incident & Change Management and Reporting
- In depth knowledge Linux (Red-hat) OS
- Experience with Windows OS support a plus.
- Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP and associated technologies (NFS, NIS, DNS, DHCP)
- Detailed knowledge of Linux-Unix system monitoring and reporting
- Detailed knowledge of Server Hardware Firmware preferred
- In depth knowledge in vulnerability assessment and server patching.
- Programming level knowledge of Shell and Perl a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot, resolve complex problems, with a fix it once for everywhere and automation mentality.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
- The individual should have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and high-pressure situations for outage handling, management, or resolution
- Good knowledge of ITIL concepts, prioritizing tickets, dealing with SLA, etc., ITIL certified.
- Responsible for resolving all technical incidents escalated by the L-2 team
- Participate in On-Call rotation with some weekend work as needed.

Primary Skill: Experience on Red hat Linux, Unix, Virtual Hypervisor Technologies, Cluster technologies, Satellite Administration & Patching.

Secondary Skill: Red hat Linux, Windows OS support, RHEV, docker container/ OpenShift, Ansible/Puppet, shell/python a plus.
