**Job Description: Embroidery Designer - Women’s Ethnic Wear**

**Job Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Design Development**:
- Create original embroidery designs, patterns, and motifs for women’s ethnic wear, including kurtis,
- Develop seasonal collections aligned with market trends and cultural themes.
- **Technical Proficiency**:
- Translate hand-drawn sketches into embroidery files suitable for hand, machine, or digital embroidery techniques.
- Work with CAD software and embroidery machines like Tajima, Wilcom, or similar.
- **Material Sourcing & Coordination**:
- Select appropriate fabrics, threads, beads, sequins, and other embellishments.
- Collaborate with artisans and manufacturers to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- **Trend Analysis**:
- Research and stay updated on current trends in embroidery and women’s ethnic wear.
- Incorporate innovative techniques like zari, aari, chikankari, and other regional embroidery styles.
- **Quality Control**:
- Monitor and ensure high standards of craftsmanship and design implementation.
- Address and resolve issues during the sampling or production process.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with fashion designers, pattern makers, and production teams to align embroidery designs with overall garment aesthetics.
**Qualifications & Skills**
- **Education**:
- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field with a focus on embroidery or embellishment.
- **Experience**:
- Proven experience in designing embroidery for women's ethnic wear (minimum [X] years).
- Strong portfolio showcasing intricate embroidery work.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and CAD embroidery tools (Wilcom, etc.).
- Knowledge of hand and machine embroidery techniques.
- **Creative Skills**:
- Eye for detail and an ability to create unique, intricate designs.
- Strong sense of color, fabric textures, and design aesthetics for ethnic wear.
- **Interpersonal Skills**:
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
