**Job Description Summary**: The IP Paralegal will provide filing, administrative and operations support to GE Healthcare’s legal team. Working primarily with members of the Law and Policy team within GE Healthcare, this position will be responsible for paralegal support as well as completing tasks associated with managing GE Healthcare’s patent portfolio and associated stakeholders.

**Key responsibilities**
- Ensuring timely update and closure of actions in internal patent database
- Strong understanding of fees and forms (forms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, 16, 18, 25, 26,27 and 30)
- Understanding of patent office procedures and formalities and ability to independently talk to patent office for formal work
- Receiving the IP disclosures and disclosure validation
- Processing inventor remuneration/bonus in timely manner according to organization reward policy
- Work towards continuous improvement of the patent process and implement lean to achieve efficiency gain
- Support IP function by coordinating with outside counsel and cover as initial IP department contact for any correspondence with Patent office wherever required
- Draft correspondence and amendments to documents; work closely with Counsels and business units to respond to any requests, preparing documentation and managing files
- Maintain all IP files and retrieve archived files/information as requested
- Interact with the Global Innovations Law and Policy team, internal business staff, and external consulting and law firms
- Accurately follow complex processes for handling matters in a compliant manner
- Attention to details and not missing the deadlines
**Quality Specific Goals**
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated paralegal experience in a corporate or professional business environment, supporting the activities of a department/team or manager.
- Strong time management skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills, including grammar and composition.
- Good data processing and analytical skills to effectively handle IP, finance, budgeting and accounting information in a structured manner
- Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects with more than one team member simultaneously, adjusting to changing priorities and follow through on all assignments.
- Must be able to maintain security of highly confidential information—discretion and confidentiality required Must be able to work self-directed with an ability to multi-task
- Must be willing and able to flex work hours periodically based on business needs. Integrity: Must accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work well independently and in a team setting Adaptable/Flexible: Being open to change and work in ambiguous situations
