Job description Job Description  Position: Purchasing Executive  Industry: Shipping / Maritime Logistics  Location: Andheri East, Mumbai  CTC: Up to ₹6 LPA  Experience: 4 to 5 Years  Department: Procurement / Supply Chain  About the Role:  We are looking for a proactive and experienced Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the shipping industry, particularly in procurement of marine equipment, spares, and services. This role demands strong negotiation skills, market awareness, and the ability to manage multiple vendor relationships efficiently.  Key Responsibilities:   Handle end-to-end procurement of ship spares, stores, provisions, and marine consumables.  Float inquiries, evaluate quotations, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms.  Generate and manage Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved requisitions.  Coordinate with the technical and operations team to understand vessel requirements and timelines.  Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery timelines.  Build and maintain a reliable supplier database specific to the maritime sector.  Track and ensure timely delivery of materials to vessels or designated locations.  Manage documentation for import/export, customs clearance, and shipping formalities if required.  Maintain accurate records of procurement activities using ERP systems.  Assist in budgeting and cost control for procurement operations . Candidate Requirements:  Graduate in any discipline. A degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management or Maritime Studies is preferred.  4–5 years of relevant experience in purchasing/procurement in the shipping or marine industry.  Sound knowledge of marine equipment, spares, and consumables.  Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems like AMOS, ShipNet, or similar.  Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.  Ability to manage time-sensitive procurements and work in a fast-paced environment.  Familiarity with Incoterms and basic import/export procedures is a plus.  Why Join Us:   Be part of a reputed shipping organization with a strong industry presence.  Work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.  Opportunity for career growth and skill development.  Centrally located office in Andheri East, well connected by public transport.
