As a large organisation, it provides significant opportunities for professional growth within a structured and supportive environment.Job DescriptionDraft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including agreements for sales, procurement, and partnerships.Provide legal advice and support to internal business teams on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies.Ensure adherence to local and international laws, especially in the life science and biotechnologies sectors.Manage disputes and liaise with external counsel when necessary.Conduct legal research and provide updates on relevant legislative changes that impact the business.Support the development and implementation of internal policies and processes to enhance legal compliance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on legal matters.Assist in corporate governance and company secretarial matters as required.The Successful ApplicantA successful Legal Counsel (Commercial) should have:A degree in law from a recognised university, with a specialisation in commercial or corporate law preferred.Experience in handling contracts, regulatory compliance, and legal advisory in a corporate setting.Knowledge of legal frameworks applicable to the life science and biotechnologies industries.Proficiency in legal drafting and negotiation skills.Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
