Job Description

Job Title: Plant Quality Head

Location: Binola /Pune

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy

Experience: 14+ years in Quality Management

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Strategy & Leadership Define and implement Plant wide quality policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency across all plants. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for quality enhancement and defect reduction. Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions. Process & Product Quality Management Ensure adherence to metallurgical standards, heat treatment processes, and machining quality across the plant. Oversee Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) and Gravity Die Casting (GDC) processes to maintain top-notch product integrity. Monitor process validation, FMEA, SPC, and control plans to maintain product consistency. Customer Quality & Compliance Act as the primary quality interface with key OEM customers (Toyota, Honda, Maruti, Tata, Hyundai, etc.). Handle customer audits, quality escalations, and warranty claims with a proactive approach. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other automotive quality standards. Quality Management System (QMS) & Data-Driven Decision Making Strengthen and maintain QMS frameworks to drive operational excellence. Utilize data analytics, root cause analysis (RCA), and Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality metrics. Lead plant-wide PPAP, APQP, and supplier quality initiatives. Team Leadership & Training Develop and mentor quality teams across the plant. Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous learning within the plant. Conduct training programs on quality tools, customer expectations, and technical advancements.

Key Requirements:

Educational Background: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy.

Experience: 14+ years in quality management within the automotive casting industry.

Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of Aluminium Casting, including Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) & Gravity Die Casting (GDC). Deep understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and machining operations. Customer Handling: Experience working with OEMs (Toyota, Honda, Maruti, Tata, Hyundai, etc.) on quality-related matters.

Certifications & Compliance: Well-versed in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and other

quality frameworks.

Leadership: Strong personality with the ability to influence, lead, and drive a high

performance quality culture.
