A sales representative's job is to sell a company's

products or services, build customer relationships, and meet sales targets. 

Responsibilities

·Identify potential customers: Research and qualify new leads, and maintain contact with

existing customers 

·Build relationships: Maintain positive relationships with customers, and

resolve complaints 

·Educate customers: Educate customers on products and services, and help them

find solutions to their needs 

·Develop sales strategies: Develop sales strategies, and identify opportunities to

improve sales performance 

·Negotiate contracts: Negotiate contracts with clients 

·Close sales: Close sales deals, and achieve sales targets 

·Maintain records: Maintain records of sales leads, and prepare reports 

·Collaborate with marketing: Collaborate with marketing to build brand and coordinate

sales efforts 

Skills and qualifications 

·Excellent communication skills

·Strong understanding of the products

they are selling

·Ability to listen actively, ask the

right questions, and respond to objections

·Ability to build rapport with

potential customers

·Ability to establish trust with

customers

·Ability to maintain documentation of

sales

Other responsibilities 

·Monitor competition

·Keep up to date with industry trends

·Assist with determining schedule for

pricing, quotes, and promotions
