S&T Org, Digital Products and Services (DPS Team) at PepsiCo

Under the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization, the Digital Products & Services team designs, builds, and stands up digital solutions across the value chain, that are embedded into business processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high ROI. Guided by PEPSICO’s global priorities, the Digital Products & Services team create user-centric digital products that can be scaled globally by leveraging the leading technologies, advanced analytics algorithms and latest user research.

Lead Software Engineering-QA

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mobile QA to join our dynamic team. As a Mobile QA , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our mobile applications. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless user experience and the overall success of our products in collaboration across the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization. Software Engineering is the corner stone of scalable digital transformation across PepsiCo’s value chain.

You will work closely with the user experience, product, IT, and process engineering teams to develop new products and prioritize deliver solutions across S&T core priorities.

Responsibilities Quality Assurance Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing of mobile applications across various platforms (iOS and Android) to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues. Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test plans, test cases, and test strategies that align with project requirements and goals. Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing of mobile applications to validate functionality, usability, compatibility, and performance. Defect Management: Document and track defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. Regression Testing: Execute regression testing to verify bug fixes and enhancements, ensuring the overall stability of the application. Usability and User Experience Testing: Evaluate the user interface, navigation, and overall user experience of mobile applications, providing insights for improvement. Performance Testing: Conduct load, stress, and performance testing to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure optimal application performance. Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand application functionality and user requirements. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings to provide testing insights. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mobile QA. Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance QA methodologies and practices. Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of continuous learning Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field Expertise / Programming experience in at least in one Code language (Java, Python, JS/Typescript) Should have 6+ years test case automation experience using Selenium, Cucumber, Appium and 3+ years experience in API (Functional testing and Automation), Programming Language Java, Must have 3+ years experience in CI/CD concepts, setup and productive usage, Experience with testing and project management tools for reporting test results and milestones, Knowledge of Database preferably SQL. Knowledge of Public Clouds (AWS/Azure). Should be willing to work both in functional and automation testing. Proficiency in functional testing, test case creation, and defect tracking. Strong understanding of mobile testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Expertise in practical knowledge of debugging tools on web and mobile platforms Expert in API Automation testing and exposure to REST API framework , Automation experience using any of the tools – Postman, Rest assured will be effective for the role. Strong Experience in Integration testing (SIT) and ability to understand the system/Data Flow architecture and guide the team to build effective test scenarios. Good Experience working with SQL and large volumes of data. Experience with Continuous Integration (preferably - Azure) Thorough understanding of the role and the place of QA in SDLC, testing processes and methodologies Knowledge of Espresso & XCUITest (nice to have) Knowledge of white box testing (nice to have)
