Job Description

Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with business objectives in the metal industry.Lead the next phase of digital transformation, with a key focus on AI adoption, cost optimisation, and external ecosystem integration.Champion change leadership: the role demands a leader who can transform mindsets and culture, not just systems.Sustain and enhance as a global digital leader, with a specific emphasis on AI-driven decision-making, automation, and simulation-based engineering.Navigate the complexity of over 100 legal entities and streamline data to build a unified view.Be an advocate for customer experience excellence, taking inspiration from consumer tech companies.Collaborate across a matrixed organization with 15+ senior stakeholders, requiring high EQ, diplomacy, and influence.Drive manufacturing and functional excellence with the use of digital tools (, simulate commissioning of plants)Balance strategic vision with execution rigor, focusing on cost reduction, frugality, and value delivery.Oversee a tech org structured across 7 architectural layers, including sensor level automation and visualisation.Engage in site-level presence (manufacturing sites) to ensure deep cultural integration and credibility.

The Successful Applicant

A successful CIO should have:

A degree in technology, engineering, or a related field.Proven expertise in industrial or manufacturing technology processes.20-30 years of total experience, with at least 5+ years in a global leadership role.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
