Job Description

Desired Profile

In-depth knowledge of database administration in MYSQL and PostgreSQL.Support software developers with database operations including the development of complex SQL, tuning of DML and creation of stored procedures.Conduct support tasks such as Performance tuning, Data cleaning and Indexing, security configuration etc.Knowledge in database clustering.Provide enterprise-wide, DBA support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database creation, and database production support.Installation, configuration, customization, maintenance and performance tuning of databases.Knowledge in managing databases in Linux environment.Database version migration, patching and security management.Solve complex, non-routine problems and determine innovative solutions through cost/benefit analysis.Manage all aspects of database operations including implementation of database monitoring tools, event monitoring, diagnostic analysis, performance optimization routines and top-tier support for resolving support issues.Facilitate database backup and recovery as well as documenting and testing all backup and recovery procedures.Work closely with the application developers and Operations to ensure reliable database usage.Investigate application response time issues. Provide solutions for performance improvements. Validate and test stored procedures before implementation in the production environmentProvide development and production support to troubleshoot day-to-day database or related application issues.Installation, configuration, customization, maintenance and performance tuning of databases.Knowledge in Virtualization, Load Balancing and Clustering TechnologiesKnowledge in Information Security concepts aligning to ISO 27001 standards

Experience & Certifications

Engineering/Science graduate with 3 to 5 years of experience in DB administration/ DB DevelopmentOCP/MySQL certified or any DB administrator certificationCertifications like RHCE will be an added advantage
