Build Brands That Consumers LoveConduct first-hand consumer research to identify urban household needsCreate and position consumer brands with sharp pricing, packaging, and product designLaunch and iterate fast, first products to shelf within 90 daysBuild meaningful sourcing-to-shelf stories that connect farmers and urban families2. Lead Sales Execution Across ChannelsPersonally drive distribution and visibility in kiranas, modern retail, and e-commerceCreate GTM playbooks based on ground-level feedbackDrive trials, repeat usage, and velocity through data-driven experimentation3. Own Product & Supply Chain DevelopmentWork with contract manufacturers and packaging partnersMaintain uncompromised quality, traceability, and complianceOperate lean and fast, managing unit economics and launch timelines end-to-end4. Cross-functional & Organisational LeadershipCollaborate with supply chain, category, tech, and finance teamsInspire internal stakeholders to become brand evangelistsBalance short-term outcomes with long-term brand equity5. Build & Scale a Rock-star TeamStart as a hands-on player-coachHire for consumer first mindset, not just pedigreeLeverage AI and automation to drive efficiency in marketing and operations6. Drive Marketing & Demand GenerationExecute creative, high-ROI campaigns with lean budgetsBuild dual-focused marketing: trade-facing and consumer-facingTrack metrics obsessively and iterate based on real-world insightsThe Successful Applicant12+ years of experience in FMCG, preferably food categories like staples, snacks, beverages, or ready-to-eatProven track record of building a consumer brand or private label from 0→1, scaling it to at least ₹25-50 Cr+ in annual revenueDemonstrated full P&L ownership, responsible for revenue, margins, and profitability over multiple yearsStrong consumer-first, with experience building products based on deep consumer insights rather than trade pushMass-market focus: Built products for urban middle-income Indian households, not just premium/luxury segmentsSolid exposure to private label development, including product design, packaging, sourcing, pricing, and go-to-marketHands-on experience in product development, sourcing, and supply chain coordinationUnderstand retailer eco-system and comfortable driving sales across channels such as general trade (kiranas), modern trade, e-commerce, and quick commerceTechnology-savvy: Experienced in using data, analytics, and digital platforms for growth, feedback loops, and decision-makingStart-up mindset: Comfortable with speed, ambiguity, lean teams, and direct execution without full-function supportStrong executive presence, able to lead teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive org-wide alignmentStrong Pluses:Background in tech-first consumer or D2C FMCG companiesPlayer-coach style, who has personally executed brand building and sales, not just managed teamsFounder or early-stage builder experience in food/CPGExperience working across both general trade and ecommerce channels
