The Fleet Management Manager oversees the operation and maintenance of the companys vehiclefleet. This role ensures that all vehicles are in optimal working condition, compliance withregulations, and that all fleet activities support the overall operational objectives of the company.1. Fleet Operations Management:- Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet management strategy.- Monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring timely and efficient vehicleavailability.- Coordinate with various departments to understand and meet their transportation needs.2. Maintenance and Repairs:- Oversee scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure vehicle safety and longevity.- Develop maintenance schedules and manage relationships with service providers and vendors.- Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing and repairs.3. Compliance and Safety:- Ensure all fleet activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.- Develop and enforce fleet safety policies and procedures.- Conduct regular safety training sessions and vehicle inspections.4. Budget and Cost Control:- Prepare and manage the fleet department budget.- Monitor fuel consumption and implement measures to improve fuel efficiency.- Analyze and report on fleet performance metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.5. Fleet Acquisition and Disposal:- Assess and recommend vehicle acquisitions to meet company needs.- Manage the disposal of old or obsolete vehicles in a cost-effective manner.6. Technology and Systems:- Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, andperformance data.- Stay updated on the latest fleet management technologies and integrate them into operations asappropriate.7.
