They usually work under the supervision of senior accountants or project managers. Key Responsibilities Project Cost Tracking Assist in monitoring and recording project expenses. Compare actual costs against estimates and budgets. Invoicing & Billing Prepare customer invoices based on work completed. Ensure timely submission and follow-ups for payments. Financial Documentation Maintain accurate records of financial transactions related to projects. Organize and file purchase orders, vendor bills, receipts, etc. Support Budget Preparation Help in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts. Collect and compile financial data for analysis. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination Process and verify payments to vendors and subcontractors. Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies. Internal Reporting Generate basic financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly). Assist senior accountants with audits and internal reviews. Compliance & Standards Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant accounting standards. Support documentation for tax and regulatory compliance. ERP/Accounting Software Use Work with tools like Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or Excel to input and manage financial data. Team Support Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure financial alignment. Provide administrative support as needed for the finance/accounts department.
