Job Title: R&D ChemistLocation: ChennaiExperience: 1 to 3 yearsSalary: Depends on ExperienceJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative R&D Chemist to support the research and development of new chemical formulations, products, and processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct experiments, analyse results, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize chemical formulations for new and existing products.Conduct laboratory experiments, analyse data, and document results accurately.Research raw materials, evaluate suppliers, and test alternatives for cost and performance improvements.Collaborate with production and quality control teams to scale up lab formulations to production level.Ensure all R&D activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.Maintain detailed laboratory records, including experimental procedures and results.Conduct stability studies and performance testing of products under various conditions.Support troubleshooting of production issues related to formulations.Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.Prepare technical reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.Essential Qualifications:Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.Proven experience in a research and development role in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or related industry.Knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and safety protocols.Skills Required:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment and analytical instruments (, GC, HPLC, FTIR).Good understanding of chemical formulations, reactions, and properties.Excellent documentation and reporting skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Knowledge of regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, REACH, etc.) is a plus.
