Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst with a strong background in Australian mortgages. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the mortgage process, including verification, loan approval, documentation, and relevant legal frameworks. This role will involve leading a team, overseeing credit assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis and assessments for Australian mortgage applications.
  • Oversee the verification process, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with legal requirements.
  • Lead a team of analysts, providing mentorship and guidance in best practices for credit evaluation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth loan processing and resolution of any issues.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in the Australian mortgage market.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in credit analysis within the Australian mortgage sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Australian mortgage process, including verification, loaning procedures, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing Australian mortgages.
  • Proficient in mortgage-related tools such as Flex, Broker Engine, LVR (Loan-to-Value Ratio), and LMI (Lenders Mortgage Insurance).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficient in mortgage-related software and tools.
  • Willingness to work in Australian shifts to align with client needs.
