Role Overview:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Azure MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of expertise in managing and maintaining Azure MySQL databases, with a strong focus on performance optimization, high availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases in Azure environments.
  • Monitor database performance and ensure availability, scalability, and reliability.

Performance Tuning and Optimization:

  • Analyze and improve query performance and database indexing strategies.
  • Conduct regular performance tuning, database optimization, and resource management.

Backup and Recovery:

  • Implement robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Ensure data integrity and perform database restores as needed.

Security and Compliance:

  • Manage database security, including user access, roles, and permissions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

High Availability and Replication:

  • Design and implement replication strategies and high availability setups.
  • Work on failover clustering and other redundancy solutions.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks.
  • Leverage tools to automate database monitoring and maintenance.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
  • Provide support during database design and application development phases.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience as a MySQL DBA, with at least 3 years in Azure environments.
  • Proficiency in MySQL database management and Azure database services.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
  • Expertise in SQL query optimization, indexing, and database schema design.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
