Role Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Azure My SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of expertise in managing and maintaining Azure My SQL databases, with a strong focus on performance optimization, high availability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain My SQL databases in Azure environments.
Monitor database performance and ensure availability, scalability, and reliability.
Performance Tuning and Optimization:
Analyze and improve query performance and database indexing strategies.
Conduct regular performance tuning, database optimization, and resource management.
Backup and Recovery:
Implement robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure data integrity and perform database restores as needed.
Security and Compliance:
Manage database security, including user access, roles, and permissions.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
High Availability and Replication:
Design and implement replication strategies and high availability setups.
Work on failover clustering and other redundancy solutions.
Automation and Scripting:
Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks.
Leverage tools to automate database monitoring and maintenance.
Collaboration:
Work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
Provide support during database design and application development phases.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
6-10 years of experience as a My SQL DBA, with at least 3 years in Azure environments.
Proficiency in My SQL database management and Azure database services.
Strong knowledge of My SQL replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
Expertise in SQL query optimization, indexing, and database schema design.
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Power Shell, or Terraform.
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus).
Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
