Yield Manager
Location: Hybrid (Remote + Office)
Experience Required: 2-5 years in AdTech, Yield Optimization, and Ad Server Management
Role Summary
At The Germane Media LLC , we are dedicated to driving innovation and optimizing monetization in the AdTech space. As a Yield Manager , you will play a crucial role in maximizing revenue by fine-tuning inventory utilization across multiple ad servers and demand sources. Your responsibilities will include data-driven decision-making, demand stack management, and implementing monetization strategies across web, app, and connected TV platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Inventory Optimization
- Develop and implement yield strategies to optimize eCPM and fill rates across both direct and programmatic channels.
- Ensure effective utilization of inventory across various ad servers such as Google Ad Manager, Xandr, OpenX, and PubMatic .
Demand Source Management
- Evaluate and manage relationships with demand partners, including SSPs, DSPs, and Ad Exchanges , to enhance revenue potential.
- Optimize performance of header bidding setups, waterfall strategies, and mediation layers.
Ad Server Expertise
- Configure and manage multiple ad servers to ensure seamless ad delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
- Implement and test ad server setups to enhance auction dynamics and improve revenue outcomes.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze key metrics such as CTR, CPM, fill rates , and latency to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Leverage analytics tools to optimize demand stack configurations and uncover revenue growth potential.
Experimentation & Testing
- Conduct A/B testing on pricing floors, ad formats, placements, and demand partner performance.
- Stay updated with and adopt new ad technologies and innovations to remain competitive.
Collaboration
- Work closely with AdOps, tech teams, and sales to ensure smooth campaign execution and inventory allocation.
- Collaborate with demand and supply-side stakeholders to address challenges and negotiate optimal terms.
Reporting & Insights
- Create detailed reports and dashboards to track yield performance and guide decision-making.
- Present actionable insights and revenue forecasts to leadership teams.
Key Skills & Requirements
Ad Server Proficiency
- Hands-on experience with ad servers like Google Ad Manager, Xandr, OpenX, AppLovin , or PubMatic .
- Expertise in configuring header bidding and managing programmatic stack setups.
Analytical & Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel , SQL , and analytics tools like Looker or Tableau .
- Strong analytical skills to make data-driven optimization decisions.
Problem-Solving
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various ad servers and demand channels.
Communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective internal and external stakeholder collaboration.
Experience
- Demonstrated success in managing yield for diverse inventory, including web, app, and CTV .
- Hands-on experience integrating and optimizing SSPs/DSPs across multiple ad servers.
