For more information, visit Basic Information Position Title – Senior Engineer, Cyber security Experience Level – 2 to 3 years Department - Information Security Location – Gurgaon Position reports to – Director Job Purpose This is a challenging position within the Acuity Information Security, reporting up to Director, CISO. The role requires a strong background in Technical Security/Penetration testing in the Information Security and cyber security domain, solid communication and organization skills, and a deep knowledge of Information Security and how it can be applied to infrastructure and cloud components. The candidate should be very motivated and willing to take on challenges, able to multitask to succeed, and has the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities Plan and create penetration methods, scripts and tests Perform Network/Infrastructure VAPT for cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles. Report the vulnerabilities to the operations team and help in explaining and tracking remediation of the vulnerabilities. Perform security configuration hardening scans and audits using various tools such as Tenable Nessus and/or open source tools to validate compliance with the approved hardening standards based on industry best practices. Perform vulnerability scans using Tenable Nessus and manual PT for AMIs/images and certify AMIs to roll out in the production instance. Deliver the annual penetration testing schedule. Key Competencies Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Equivalent area of study Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA network+). 3 years of experience in IT industry in relevant area, with at least 2 years of progressive experience in Cyber Security/Penetration testing (infrastructure devices and IT assets). Hands on experience in driving end-to-end security audit for cloud platform. Experience of security tools but not limited to (open-source and paid tools) – Tenable one, QualysGuard, Metasploit, WireShark, Snort, OpenVAS, Kali Linux, NMap etc. Knowledge of how traffic flows across the network (e.g., Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Internet Protocol (IP), Open System Interconnection Model (OSI), Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version (ITIL)) Experience of network VAPT – servers and network devices. Working knowledge of CIS Security benchmarks. Experience in securing containers, image instances, security groups. Ability to communicate complex topics to operations team in an easy to understand manner and help in remediating the vulnerabilities by the operations teams. In-depth knowledge of application development processes and at least one programing or scripting language (e.g., Java, Scala, C#, Ruby, Perl, Python, PowerShell). Collaborating with various teams to achieve company goals and objectives. Ability to handle high-pressure situations. Strong follow through and closure. SLA and matrics driven. Excellent communication skills. Ability to make quick and informed decisions. Ability to work efficiently in an unstructured environment. Actively listens and seeks feedback.
