Job Title:  Remote Compliance Support Specialist

Location:  India, Remote

Department:  Compliance and Operations

Reports To:  Compliance Manager or Director of Operations


Job Summary

The Remote Compliance Support Specialist is responsible for tracking permits, labor compliance, and insurance documentation for projects managed by a California based general contractor. This role ensures that all necessary documentation is organized, up-to-date, and compliant with local regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in administrative tasks, and experienced in compliance workflows for construction or similar industries.


Key Responsibilities


Permit Management:

  • Monitor the status of project permits and ensure timely renewal or acquisition.
  • Maintain a database of permits, expiration dates, and associated documentation.
  • Collaborate with on-site teams to gather required data for permit applications or renewals.

Labor Compliance:

  • Track labor compliance requirements for subcontractors and employees, including certifications, licenses, and training.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
  • Assist in preparing reports related to workforce compliance for audits or inspections.

Insurance Documentation:

  • Maintain and update insurance records for subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
  • Verify that all required insurance policies are active and meet the project's requirements.
  • Notify relevant stakeholders of upcoming expiration dates and facilitate renewals.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Organize and store all compliance-related documentation in accessible digital formats.
  • Generate regular reports on compliance status for management review.
  • Respond promptly to requests for compliance documents during audits or project reviews.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Communicate regularly with project teams to ensure compliance milestones are met.
  • Work with local compliance officers to clarify regulations and document requirements.


Qualifications


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in compliance or project management are a plus.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in compliance support, documentation, or administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and regulatory requirements is a strong advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in compliance tracking tools and software, such as Procore, Microsoft Excel, or Monday.com.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Accuracy and completeness of compliance documentation.
  • Timeliness in renewing permits and insurance documents.
  • Reduction in compliance-related delays or incidents.
