Senior Technical Sales Engineer

You will drive the sales process by responding to RFPs, preparing technical specifications, and delivering solution presentations that differentiate CommScope’s products in the market. Your focus will be on ensuring technical compliance, aligning customer needs with CommScope’s offerings, and delivering a seamless experience through pre- and post-sales support. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Sales Support : Provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales support to sales teams, business partners, and end-users. Respond to RFPs with technical compliance statements and position CommScope products effectively according to customer specifications.
Solution Development : Design application solutions that meet customer requirements, emphasizing CommScope’s technical differentiators. Prepare technical specifications and comparison documents to showcase CommScope’s advantages over competitors.
Customer Engagement : Partner with account managers, consultants, and end-users to communicate the latest technical information, emphasizing product value and solution differentiation.
Presentation and Training : Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for large and small audiences. Provide technical training to partners and customers on product usage, ensuring a strong understanding of CommScope’s solutions.
Product and Market Feedback : Collaborate with product engineering to relay customer feedback, market trends, and insights that can influence product development and improvement.
Warranty and Installation Support : Perform on-site warranty inspections to ensure installations meet CommScope guidelines. Provide technical support to resolve any warranty claims and contribute to maintaining product literature.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to develop customer-oriented solutions and assist in new product rollouts, focusing on technical differentiation and customer value.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or pre- and post-sales support, ideally within structured cabling, LAN/WAN, and data center systems.
Deep understanding of cabling and networking standards, with RCDD certification preferred.
Proven expertise in structured cabling design and LAN systems, including hands-on experience with active solutions.
Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging both large and small audiences.
Fluency in English and experience presenting in public forums.
Results-oriented, adaptable to a dynamic environment, and comfortable working with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the design of structured cabling systems for office networks and data centers.
Strong technical writing skills to prepare technical documents, specifications, and articles for media or publications.
