Role Description

We are seeking a tax consultant who will help our Clients:

(1) Investors who will be investing in Company Equity and

(2) Customers who will be building portfolio through Company’s algo trading platform

to deal with setting up trusts, and managing taxes. You will provide information and advice to help Clients ( by both Investors and Customers) for computation of taxes due to income generated from returns generated from investing in our Company . You will answer client questions, help them prepare for future tax situations, and analyze information to ensure compliance with government regulations.

Responsibilities

  1. Discussing with clients their financial information and taxable income during meetings.
  2. Determining any possible deductions to which a client may be eligible based on his tax category he falls into.
  3. Researching tax laws.
  4. Collaborating with customers to develop strategies to reduce tax liabilities.
  5. Communicating with clients to clarify tax-related concerns.
  6. Ensuring that clients comply with their tax responsibilities.
  7. Using adequate strategies to minimize taxation by taking advantage of tax deductions and credits.
  8. Helping with complicated tax issues, like those involving capital gains.
  9. Minimizing tax obligations.
  10. Determining how much clients owe in taxes and how much clients overpaid in taxes by using a computer or adding machines to calculate the correct amounts.
  11. Gathering relevant financials and tax information from clients through interview Information such as clients' taxable income, allowances, and deductible expenses.

Requirements

  1. BSC/BA in Accounting and Finance, Business, and other related fields
  2. Proven work experience as a Tax consultant or similar role
  3. Excellent attention to detail
  4. Possess the ability to operate complex database systems
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, and the capacity to clearly explain complex details to a variety of teams
  6. Must possess financial management skills
  7. Knowledge of applicable tax laws is essential
  8. Must be able to use tax preparation software and financial analysis software
  9. Must be able to use accounting software such as Intuit QuickBooks, email software such as Microsoft Outlook, and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Consultant at Dozen Diamonds in Nagpur. A Tax consultant or a tax advisor is a private or government expert trained in tax laws. As an advisor in this field, you will use your expertise to assist people with tax issues or giving any other specialist advice related to tax. You will explain to them the State/central tax laws and advice them in computing their tax returns, such as income tax.

Qualifications

  1. A strong command of mathematics, accounting, economics, business laws, and tax laws is a must if you want to become a respected consultant in this field.
  2. You must be well-spoken and be able to communicate clearly, honestly without beating around the bush. This is necessary because your clients are filing a sensitive government document and expect only nothing short of the best guidance from you.
  3. Knowledge of equity trading and financial markets
  4. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy in trading transactions
  6. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  7. Certifications in financial planning or trading would be a plus
