We are seeking a Senior API Gateway Developer to join the IT Platform team, responsible for the end-to-end API lifecycle – from design and security governance to onboarding automation, developer portal customisation, and performance monitoring. The role focuses on enabling enterprise and partner integrations, supporting digital transformation towards an API-driven architecture.
Integration & Standards: Work with REST, GraphQL, SOAP, JSON, XML, and CSV; implement transformations and schema validation.
Performance & Monitoring: Optimize API performance (caching, payloads, pooling); monitor via Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk; Platform Engineering & DevOps: Automate CI/CD deployments (Jenkins, GitLab, AWS DevOps); Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
~exposure to Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, AWS API Gateway, or Azure API Management.
~ Experience with CI/CD, scripting (Python, Shell, Groovy) , and monitoring tools.
~ Good understanding of databases, server-side technologies, and cloud (AWS preferred).
~ Familiarity with hybrid deployments, Kubernetes, and containerized gateways (advantage).
