Position Overview
The role of the Project Manager for IEEE India Philanthropy Programs is to support the IEEE’s mission of fostering technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing projects, providing mentorship, ensuring quality assurance, and driving fundraising initiatives. The position also involves monitoring and evaluating the impact of programs while coordinating with various stakeholders. The role reports to the IEEE India Philanthropy Manager and requires the ability to work independently with periodic supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Lead the management and execution of IEEE India Philanthropy (IIP) projects.
Ensure timely delivery of project outputs, outcomes, and impact.
Mentorship & Support
Guide and mentor the IIP team to enhance operational effectiveness.
Facilitate skill-building and ensure high-functioning team dynamics.
Quality Assurance
Oversee quality assurance processes for IIP initiatives to ensure scalability, sustainability, and impactful outcomes.
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
Continuously monitor and evaluate IIP projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Document project learnings, outcomes, and best practices for dissemination.
Impact Measurement
Develop and implement methodologies to measure the social and technological impact of IIP initiatives.
Provide support to external stakeholders in assessing program impact.
Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with IEEE members, volunteers, partners, and internal/external stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication to achieve project goals.
Fundraising (30%)
Develop and execute fundraising strategies to support IIP programs.
Engage with donors and supporters to secure philanthropic contributions.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on IIP initiatives for internal and external stakeholders.
Miscellaneous Duties
Support additional tasks as assigned by the IEEE India Philanthropy Manager.
Education & Skills Requirements
Education:
Post-graduate degree in social sciences, development studies, or related fields.
Experience:
3-4 years of professional experience in project management, fundraising, or working on social issues in a not-for-profit organization.
Skills & Attributes:
Proficient in written and verbal communication in English and Hindi.
Knowledge of regional languages such as Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi is an advantage (proficiency in at least two local languages preferred).
Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to travel extensively to project locations.
Commitment to promoting technology for humanity through philanthropic initiatives.
