As a Team Lead – Business Development (BD) in the O&M division, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients for Suzlon’s O&M services, retaining existing customers, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and service excellence. Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities in the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services segment, including third-party O&M contracts and renewals.
Client Relationship Management: Revenue Management: Drive revenue generation and ensure timely revenue collection through effective contract execution and client engagement.
Prepare and present commercial proposals, service offerings, and value-added solutions.
Coordinate with the technical, legal, and finance teams to structure contracts and proposals.
Drive negotiations for O&M agreements and long-term service contracts (LTSAs).
Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and transition of assets into Suzlon’s O&M ecosystem.
Achieve assigned business development targets and report performance to leadership.
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering
~ MBA in Marketing/Business Development (preferred)
~15+ years of experience in business development, preferably in renewable energy or power services
~ Experience in O&M or asset management business is highly desirable
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Understanding of wind turbine O&M, service contracts, and energy regulations
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and basic knowledge of SAP
Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients and visit sites
Experience with SCADA-based performance reporting and uptime-based contracts is a plus
