Job role - Web Scraping & Data Extraction Specialist
Experience - 2+years
Location - Chennai
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain custom web scraping scripts and solutions using Python or other programming languages.
Scrape structured and unstructured data from static and dynamic websites.
Handle challenges related to dynamic content, CAPTCHA, and anti-scraping mechanisms.
Ensure that data scraping processes comply with the legal and ethical guidelines (e.g., robots.txt). Optimize and scale scraping workflows for larger datasets and complex sources.
Monitor and maintain existing scraping scripts and troubleshoot failures or changes in website structure.
Use API integration to complement data extraction when available.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in Python and web scraping libraries such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, or Playwright.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying web scraping solutions.
Hands-on experience in handling “Captcha” and IP proxy handling experience.
Proven experience in scraping structured and unstructured data from static and dynamic websites.
