Chemicals is an extremely important large and fragmented market with multiple inefficiencies in cross border trade. The global speciality chemicals market is $800bn growing at a CAGR of 5.7%. The industry faces glaring challenges including lack of trust, excessive lead times, quality uncertainty, lack of transparency and tons of operational challenges.
In the past 20 months of the company's operation, we have scaled up our operations serving in more than 32 countries and have active partnerships with more than 100s of customers and suppliers. The company has raised a total of upwards of $7.5mn from marquee investors like Info Edge Ventures, Prime Venture Partners and from promoters of companies like Vinati Organics, Laxmi Organics, and Coromandel International.
Role and Responsibilities
Conduct research to identify potential business opportunities in the U. S. market and generate and convert leads. Focus on driving new business for Elchemy’s products and services within the Personal Care and Flavors & Fragrance industries through continuous market analysis.
Generate high-quality leads through cold-calling, cold emailing, attending physical & virtual conferences, social media outreach etc.
Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
Negotiating on price, cost, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
Develop proposals & presentations for new business opportunities/deals
Ensure customer satisfaction by being process oriented, with operational efficiency and excellent communication skills
This role is pivotal in driving Elchemy’s growth in the US market, ensuring a strong foothold in the Personal Care, Flavors & Fragrance sectors, and achieving long-term business success.
Skills and Qualifications
 6+ years experience in Technical Sales of chemicals in Personal Care or F&F Industry
Should have excellent presentation and negotiation skills
Should have an excellent verbal communication to deal with global customers
Should have an excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point
Should have an ability to work in high-energy, fast-paced cross-functional teams. Should have an entrepreneurial bent of mind, strong business acumen and good network.
