Job Description: UK Accountant
Location: Ahmedabad, India
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented UK Accountant to join our team. This role involves managing accounting tasks for UK-based clients, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and delivering accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of UK accounting standards and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities: Accounts Management:
Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate transaction recording.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
Compliance & Reporting:
Prepare and file VAT returns as per UK regulations.
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax laws.
Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and audits.
Payroll Management:
Process payrolls accurately and on time for UK-based employees.
Manage statutory deductions and ensure compliance with PAYE regulations.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Support budgeting and forecasting activities to assist in strategic decision-making.
Analyze financial data and provide insights for cost optimization.
Client Coordination:
Communicate with UK clients to address queries and provide financial updates.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth accounting operations.
Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in UK accounting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software like Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK GAAP, VAT regulations, and payroll systems.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
