Job Description: UK Accountant

Location: Ahmedabad, India

Shift Timings: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented UK Accountant to join our team. This role involves managing accounting tasks for UK-based clients, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and delivering accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of UK accounting standards and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accounts Management:
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate transaction recording.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  1. Compliance & Reporting:
  • Prepare and file VAT returns as per UK regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax laws.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and audits.
  1. Payroll Management:
  • Process payrolls accurately and on time for UK-based employees.
  • Manage statutory deductions and ensure compliance with PAYE regulations.
  1. Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights for cost optimization.
  1. Client Coordination:
  • Communicate with UK clients to address queries and provide financial updates.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth accounting operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in UK accounting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software like Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK GAAP, VAT regulations, and payroll systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
