Job Title: Factory Manager (Senior Manager)Location: JaipurThe Factory Manager will oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring that allproduction meets quality standards and is completed efficiently. The role involves managinga team, maintaining machinery, ensuring safety protocols, and liaising with otherdepartments to meet production targets.Key Responsibilities: Production Management:o Oversee daily operations of the production facility.o Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demandsand delivery timelines.o Ensure optimal utilization of resources including manpower, materials, andmachinery. Quality Control:o Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure all products meetcompany and industry standards.o Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any issues ordefects.o Maintain records of production quality and take corrective actions whennecessary. Team Leadership:o Manage and lead a team of production workers, supervisors, and technicians.o Provide training and development opportunities for staff.o Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improveproductivity. Safety and Compliance:o Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.o Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.o Maintain compliance with local, state, and regulations related tomanufacturing. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:o Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products.o Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials.o Work with the logistics team to manage shipping and delivery schedules. Cost Management:o Monitor and control production costs to achieve budget targets.o Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement. Maintenance:o Oversee maintenance of equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.o Schedule regular maintenance and manage repair activities. Reporting:o Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management.o Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency andproductivity. Education:o Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field. A master’sdegree in industrial engineering / Operations management is a plus. Experience:o Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in precious metals manufacturingenvironment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.o Proven experience in production management, quality control, and teamleadership. Skills:o Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.o Excellent leadership and team management skills.o Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.o Proficiency in manufacturing software and ERP systems.o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.o Strong understanding of precious jewellery manufacturing techniques andprocesses.o Excellent leadership and team management skills.o Ability to interpret and implement jewellery designs into production.o Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.o Proficiency in production management software and ERP systems.o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CAD/CAM software and jewellery design tools. Knowledge of international jewellery standards and export regulations. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
