Job Description: Procurement Executive

Position Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to support and streamline the organization's purchasing activities. This role involves sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in purchasing, negotiation, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Operations:

  • Execute daily procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases.
  • Research and identify potential suppliers to meet the organization's quality and pricing requirements.
  • Solicit and evaluate supplier quotations and prepare techno-commercial comparative statements.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Vendor Management:

  • Assist in vendor evaluation, selection, and development to build a reliable supply base.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best value.
  • Monitor supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Cost Control:

  • Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives by benchmarking prices and identifying market trends.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to analyze pricing structures and ensure alignment with budgetary goals.

Inventory and Demand Management:

  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and align purchasing plans with demand forecasts.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement guidelines.
  • Assist in managing contracts and annual rate agreements (ARC) for regular items and consumables.

Support and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely closure of procurement needs.
  • Provide support in vendor negotiations for repairs, maintenance, and other group-level requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in preparing comparative statements and understanding of pricing mechanisms.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management practices is a plus.
