Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Team Leader to manage a team in our logistics
operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily logistics activities, ensuring the timely, efficient, and
accurate delivery of goods and services. This role involves supervising a team, optimizing operational
processes, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and driving continuous
improvement. The Team Leader will be a key player in maintaining smooth operations while
motivating the team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
a) Supervise, guide, and lead a team of logistics staff to ensure productivity, efficiency, and
high standards of service.
b) Provide regular coaching, training, and development opportunities to improve team
performance.
c)
Delegate tasks effectively and monitor daily activities to ensure smooth workflow.
d) Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement
performance improvement plans as needed.
2.
Logistics Operations:
a)
Ensure that logistics operations are conducted in line with organizational goals and target
provided.
b) Monitor parcel levels and assisting in managing riders to prevent shortages or excesses.
c)
Coordinate with various departments.
d) Recruit riders through a variety of innovative and effective methods.
3.
Process Improvement:
a) Continuously identify and implement improvements in processes to increasing riders and
enhance performance.
b) Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the team.
c)
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and implement corrective
actions where necessary.
4.
Communication & Coordination:
a) Serve as the main point of contact between the riders and upper management.
b) Facilitate clear communication among all team members and other departments to ensure
smooth operations.
c)
Collaborate with external partners such as vendors to ensure the timely delivery of goods.
5.
Reporting and Documentation:
a)
Maintain accurate records of operations, including rider details and team performance.
b) Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on team performance, productivity, and key
operational metrics.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
1.
Experience:
a) 3+ years of experience in a logistics or supply chain management role.
b) Proven experience managing teams, ideally in a fast-paced logistics or warehouse
environment.
2.
Leadership Skills:
a) Strong team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop
team members.
b) Ability to delegate tasks effectively and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
3.
Operational Expertise:
a) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
4.
Problem Solving & Decision Making:
a) Ability to analyze and solve operational challenges quickly and effectively.
b) Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement.
5.
Health & Safety Awareness:
a)
Indepth knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in the logistics sector.
b) Ability to implement and enforce safety protocols across the team.
6.
Communication Skills:
a)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members,
management, and external stakeholders.
b) Ability to give clear instructions, manage conflicts, and facilitate effective communication
within the team.
7. Technical Skills:
a)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, such as Excel or Word.
8.
Flexibility & Adaptability:
a) Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
b) Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic logistics environment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, business
administration, or a related field is a plus.
Working Conditions:
 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment focusing on team performance and operational
efficiency.
 Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evening shifts, depending on
operational needs.
