Job Description: Vice President – Aviation Security

Client : One of India's leading Services & Infrastructure Conglomerates with interests in Airline, Retail, urban infrastructure, Airport Development, services business etc


Salary Budget : 60L - 68 LPA


Position Summary:

Design SOPs for various sections in Airline and Airport Security as per the guidelines of the Regulatory body. Ensure security personnels’ competency is at the highest level.

Ensure serviceability of security screening equipment and procedural implementation for the Passenger checks are safe, secure and in line with the Aviation guidelines.


Responsibilities:

Ensure that Airline and Airport is complied with the mandates issued by the regulatory body like Civil Aviation Security etc. for time to time.

Responsible for designing SOPs and ensuring compliance with the directives of the regulatory bodies.

Ensure adequate availability of serviceable security equipment installed for Passenger and Baggage screening.

Formulating contingency plan to ensure no unlawful interference in the operations of Airline and airport.

Periodically undertaking Audit and Certification Training programmes as per the guidelines of the aviation regulatory bodies.

Optimum deployment and utilization of the security personnel

Regular interaction with the Stakeholders

Formulation of Quality controls programmes for Security.

Representing the organisation in related Aviation Security forums


External Interactions :

Industry/Trade Bodies in Airline, Cargo and Airport sector.

Government bodies such as Custom, Immigration and Security

Senior Management teams of Airlines and vendors


Internal Interactions:

Business Head & Functional Heads of Group

Functional & Operational Teams including Senior Management


Financial Dimensions

▪ Ensure effective management of Budget / Annual Operations Plan (AOP) and contribute to annual revenue.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Post Graduation from a reputed University

• Basic Aviation Security course/ AVSEC instructor




RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• 18+ years’ experience in Security Function in Airline/Aviation industry.
