Our client is Zurich headquartered global leader in reinsurance, insurance, and risk transfer which helps companies manage complex risks across industries. With presence in over 30 countries, they operate through key segments including property & casualty, life & health reinsurance, and corporate solutions. They are known for their expertise in risk management and innovation, and address challenges such as climate change, health risks, and cyber threats. They also leverage digital platforms to expand insurance offerings directly to consumers, promoting sustainable practices and resilience in an evolving risk landscape.


They are looking for an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect / Engineer, who would work with AWS Cloud to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions.


Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging expertise in AWS or Azure to design and maintain secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions.
  • Enhancing multi-cloud adoption skills by working on innovative infrastructure projects that drive technological advancement.
  • Collaborating with a motivated team, turning challenges into opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • Leading critical cloud initiatives and influencing global strategies to drive impactful outcomes.
  • Implementing infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, ensuring stability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Working extensively with key platform services, including API gateways, Kubernetes, and essential cloud infrastructure components.
  • Automating infrastructure tasks and improving operational efficiency using advanced Python and Shell scripting.
  • Contributing to DevSecOps practices by leveraging Azure DevOps for automation and continuous integration.
  • Strengthening cloud security by implementing best practices and ensuring adherence to governance and compliance standards.
  • Fostering a culture of accountability by actively participating in risk management and transparency initiatives.
  • Building and operating standardized cloud platforms on AWS Public Cloud as a key member of the Shared Services team.
  • Developing secure, automated infrastructure capabilities, including monitoring, reporting, patching, upgrades, and release management using tools like Terraform.
  • Defining and implementing robust business continuity solutions, such as backup and disaster recovery, while ensuring compliance with cloud security and governance standards.
  • Providing expert feedback and support on cloud-native infrastructure automation, collaborating on architectural proposals and ensuring operational excellence through audit readiness.


To be eligible for this role you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 8 years of experience in development and cloud infrastructure, including 4+ years as a cloud architect.
  • Expertise in enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure solutions with AWS or Azure, and hands-on experience with services like Kubernetes (including Docker and Helm charts), API gateways, and serverless architectures.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform, with strong scripting skills in Python and Bash/Shell; knowledge of Java is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud security principles at application and network levels, with experience contributing to security standards.
  • Proven ability to design and architect shared platform services on cloud platforms, emphasizing multi-tenancy, resilience, performance, and identity-based authentication.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders across all levels.
