Technical Screening Consultant

Join us as a seasoned Technical Screening Consultant and play a key role in shaping the future of our tech talent Partner with our dynamic recruitment team to conduct in-depth, rigorous technical assessments across a wide range of IT roles, including software engineering, data, cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, QA, and enterprise applications. This role bridges talent acquisition and engineering, ensuring that only technically qualified candidates progress to client interviews.What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):Own technical evaluations after recruiter screen: conduct structured assessments (live and/or take‑home) and produce pass/no‑pass recommendations.Design role‑specific assessment frameworks: skills matrices, scorecards, question banks, coding exercises, and scenario simulations per job family (dev, data, cloud, IT ops).Run live technical screens (30–60 mins): code walkthroughs, systems design, debugging, architecture review, and practical problem‑solving.Validate candidate claims: probe depth of hands‑on experience, frameworks, tooling, and production‑grade patterns.Standardize rubrics for consistency across assessors; calibrate with hiring managers; maintain fairness and bias mitigation.Produce concise written evaluations: technical summary, strengths/risks, level calibration (e.g., mid vs. senior), and recommended interview focus areas.Partner with recruiters: refine job requirements, must‑have vs. nice‑to‑have, and recommend sourcing pivots based on funnel analytics.Continuously improve question banks and assessments based on client feedback and hiring outcomes.Operational reporting: track pass‑through rates, time‑to-screen, false positives/negatives, and quality of hire signals.Tooling & compliance: manage assessment platforms and uphold data privacy & ethical hiring standards.Ideal Background (Qualifications):5–10+ years in software development, data engineering/science, cloud/DevOps, or technical program management; multi‑disciplinary experience preferred.Hands‑on expertise in at least two of:Software Engineering: Java, .NET, Python, JS/TS, Node, React/Angular, microservices.Data: SQL, Python, Spark, ETL, warehousing (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift), ML basics.Cloud/DevOps: AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform/ARM, CI/CD, observability.Security/IT Ops: IAM, network fundamentals, security controls, incident response.Experience designing and administering technical assessments and calibrating levels.Strong communication: translating technical depth into clear, non‑jargon summaries.Familiarity with screening tools (e.g., CoderPad, Codility, HackerRank, LeetCode, Take‑home design).Understanding of systems design, scalability, reliability, testing, and code quality.Knowledge of inclusive assessment practices and minimizing bias.Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.Core Competencies:Technical breadth & depth across modern stacks.Structured interviewing & rubric-driven evaluation.Systems thinking; practical problem-solving.Stakeholder management (recruiters, hiring managers, clients).Data-driven decision making; continuous improvement mindset.High integrity, confidentiality, and candidate experience focus.Benefits:Health Insurance, Accident Insurance.The salary will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant education, qualifications, experience, technical skills, and business needs.Additional Responsibilities:Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.Provide status reports to OP
