Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned Lead Business Analyst to join our Shopify support team in Hyderabad. This role requires a proactive and experienced professional who can effectively lead and ensure that all support activities are completed on time, meeting delivery deadlines. The ideal candidate will have more than 8 years of experience in business analysis, with a proven background in eCommerce and retail being a significant advantage. You will also be responsible for setting up efficient processes and leading the team to achieve optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight: Lead the Shopify support team, ensuring timely delivery of all support activities and adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Process Setup & Improvement: Establish, document, and continuously improve support processes and workflows, optimizing team efficiency and effectiveness.
Issue Management: Oversee the prioritization and resolution of support-related issues, coordinating with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure a smooth operation.
Performance Monitoring: Track team performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and issue resolution times.
Client Interaction: Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on support activities, status reports, and strategic insights.
Business Analysis: Perform core Lead BA responsibilities, such as gathering and analyzing business requirements, developing use cases, and creating process models to support the Shopify environment.
Strategic Planning: Assist in planning and executing strategic initiatives, aligning support activities with overall business goals and objectives.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project delivery or support operations and devise mitigation strategies.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of processes, requirements, and support activities.
Qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing support teams.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of eCommerce and retail business operations; experience in these sectors is a plus.
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms.
Basic knowledge of web technologies and APIs is an advantage.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading teams, setting up processes, and driving projects to successful completion.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to analyzing issues and implementing solutions.
Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
Education: B.E./B.Tech, MCA, or any relevant technical degree.
Project Management: Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA is desirable.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Shopify’s ecosystem, tools, and development practices.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
