Job Title: Quality Manager –Precision Manufacturing
Location: Hyderabad, India (Factory located in Siddipet, Telangana)
Position Overview:
A leader in defense equipment manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled Quality
Manager with a strong background in mechanical engineering and precision component
manufacturing. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and maintain quality
control processes to ensure the highest standards in the production of assault rifles. This
role requires a deep understanding of global ISO standards, AI integration, and strict
adherence to government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control : Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control
processes to ensure the highest standards in manufacturing.
2. Process Development : Design and document technical and functional processes
compliant with global ISO standards and other prevailing practices.
3.Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all
manufacturing processes, ensuring readiness for client inspections and audits.
4. AI Integration: Utilize and manage AI tools to ensure 100% defect-free
manufacturing.
5. Production Oversight : Oversee the entire production process to ensure efficiency
and adherence to quality standards.
6. Compliance : Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with the regulations and
standards set by the Government of India, Ministry of Defence, and DRDO inspection
agencies.
7. Inspection Preparedness: Prepare for and facilitate inspections and audits by the
Ministry of Defence and DRDO, ensuring all processes and documentation are in order.
8. Precision Manufacturing: Lead precision component manufacturing processes
on the shop floor, ensuring all products meet exacting specifications.
9. Problem-Solving: Demonstrate proven problem-solving skills to address and
resolve manufacturing issues promptly.
10. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of quality control professionals,
fostering a culture of continuous improvement.11. Client Engagement: Engage with clients during quality control audits, ensuring
all queries are addressed and documentation is provided in a timely manner.
12. Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
related to quality and production efficiency.
13. Training: Provide training to staff on quality control processes and the use of AI
tools in manufacturing.
14. Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to
enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
15. Company Culture: Contribute to a positive work environment that encourages
teamwork, innovation, and adherence to high-quality standards.
Key Performance Indicator:
The candidate’s ability to successfully engage with clients during quality control audits,
ensuring all documentation is provided within the specified time frame, will be a key
performance indicator for this role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in precision component manufacturing on the shop floor.
- In-depth knowledge of global ISO standards and quality control methodologies.
- Experience with AI tools in manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication skills for client engagement and audit facilitation.
- Understanding of compliance requirements by the Government of India, Ministry of
Defence, and DRDO inspection agencies.
