Summary :


The VP Professional Services at Duck Creek will drive regional strategy and lead a high-performing Professional Services team to enhance customer success in the InsurTech space. This role requires building strong customer relationships, collaborating across functions, and ensuring project delivery aligns with Duck Creek’s standards for excellence. With a focus on leadership, strategic insight, and team development, this position will support the company’s growth by fostering a customer-centric culture, expanding service revenue, and keeping Duck Creek at the forefront of industry trends. Regular reporting and performance tracking will ensure alignment with both regional and global objectives.


What are your Key Responsibilities at Duck Creek?


1. Leadership & Regional Strategy Development

  • Provide dynamic leadership to the regional team, setting clear priorities and a unified direction to drive team performance.
  • Cultivate a passionate, customer-focused team that excels in translating competitive market strategies into impactful commercial relationships.
  • Foster strong internal collaboration and alignment with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer experience and project delivery.
  • Build relationships with key influencers and stakeholders, staying informed about and providing insights into customer strategies and market trends.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of Duck Creek’s technology, products, and consulting services to position the company as a leader in InsurTech.
  • Develop and implement a regional strategy to guide team activities, aligning them with Duck Creek’s goals and vision.


2. Professional Services Practice Management

  • Lead a group within the Professional Services practice, building a culture of accountability to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Manage staffing, set performance objectives, conduct annual reviews, and oversee people management to build a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate with Sales Directors and Solution Architects to propose and deliver Professional Services to new customers, expanding service revenue.
  • Regularly engage with customer executives, project leaders, and Duck Creek partners to drive successful outcomes and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Engagement Leads and cross-functional teams to monitor and achieve on-time, on-budget project delivery for assigned accounts.
  • Contribute to the development of the Professional Services’ Strategy and Vision, supporting ongoing practice evolution and growth.


3. Customer Success & Business Insights

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, generating additional Professional Services opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Provide a proactive, customer-centric environment, focusing on delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Ensure Duck Creek remains ahead of industry trends and challenges, regularly reporting insights, performance metrics, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Develop and contribute intellectual property to the Professional Services practice to enhance service offerings and support strategic goals.

What are our requirements for this position?


  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 23 to 25 years of professional experience.
  • At least 12 years working in leadership within a Professional Service environment is highly preferred.
  • A working knowledge of P&C Insurance and packaged SaaS software implementations is preferred.
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs on time, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding the team accountable for performance.
  • Superior leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategically minded, with the ability to identify areas for business improvement and growth.
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering high-impact results to meet customers’ needs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Strong experience in customer expectations management and scope management
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Demonstrated experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
