In this role, you’ll build and lead a team of talented product designers, setting a vision for user experience across our products. Reporting directly into the Chief Product and Design Officer of WNS Next, you’ll be a key voice in the product leadership team, translating complex capabilities and solutions into clear, compelling, and valuable experiences. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to ensure designs not only meet user needs but also push the boundaries of what is possible with AI.ResponsibilitiesDesign Strategy- Define and drive the holistic design vision for our products, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across internal and external applications. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI, UX, and product design.Team Leadership- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Work with HR, learning & development team to influence and evolve career frameworks in alignment with organization goals and talent aspirations.Customer-Facing Influence- Engage in early client and presales discussions to shape design strategy, translating needs into actionable insights. Ensure end-to-end design ownership, supporting project continuity and client satisfaction throughout the delivery lifecycle. Oversight of design linked revenue, project performance and delivery excellence.Design Ops- Establish and streamline design operations to improve to support scale, consistency, collaboration, efficiency, and quality across teams in a vision driven environment. Standardize processes, tools, and workflows to support design at scale while ensuring creative flexibility.Cross-Functional Collaboration– Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in product management, engineering, and data science to align on product strategy, goals, and roadmaps.User Advocacy- Advocate for the user through research, testing, and feedback, ensuring design decisions are informed by a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.Design Systems– Maintain and establish a centralized design system with standards, patterns, and best practices for designing with AI, including data visualization, trust, and transparency.Evangelism- Present design strategies and concepts to senior leadership and stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions. Drive a design mindset across the organization and strengthen cross-functional alignment.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent.Required Skills12+ years of experience in product design within a technology or product centric company.Proven experience leading a team of designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features.A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a track record of using data to inform design decisions.Excellent relationship management skills working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, operations and internal sales/ consulting teams.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex design concepts and strategies to a variety of audiences.Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
