Our subscriptions are designed for artists to engage on a project basis. We do not sign any contract with the artists. We design the delivery of a subscription as per artist's genre, need, personality, TG and budget and help them stay independent, by giving them services of a label team.

Position Overview

Caartel Music is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable EDM A&R Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate must be deeply enthusiastic about Electronic Dance Music (EDM), with a thorough understanding of the electronic music industry, pop culture, and its history. As an intern, you will play a vital role in scouting new talent, supporting artist development, and assisting the A&R team in creating innovative and compelling EDM music projects. You will be working on a client Label we are developing, working closely with client team on a daily basis. Thereby giving you much exposure in building a EDM Music Label and signing DJs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • EDM Talent Scouting: Actively search for and identify upcoming EDM artists, DJs, and producers. Stay informed about emerging trends, festivals, and the latest developments in the electronic music scene.
  • Industry Research & Trend Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on the EDM industry, identifying key trends, emerging sub-genres, and influential artists. Keep the A&R team informed on market shifts, sound innovations, and new movements within electronic music.
  • Artist Development: Support the A&R team in nurturing and developing new EDM talent. Provide creative input on song selection, production ideas, and sound design for artists under Caartel Music’s roster.
  • EDM Project Collaboration: Assist in coordinating with producers, sound engineers, and remixers to develop tracks for artists. Work with teams to ensure a cohesive and innovative approach to each project, keeping in line with the latest EDM trends.
  • Pop Culture Engagement: Stay plugged into EDM pop culture, from club scenes to major festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival. Be involved in spotting influences that can shape the direction of our artists’ releases and public image.
  • EDM Content Curation: Assist in curating and maintaining a catalogue of high-quality EDM content for Caartel Music's platforms. Suggest and contribute to unique content ideas that cater to the EDM fanbase, from live performances to remix competitions.
  • Networking & Artist Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with EDM artists, DJs, producers, and industry professionals. Act as a key point of contact for artists, helping facilitate smooth communication and support.
  • Festival and Event Coverage: Attend relevant EDM festivals, conferences, and events (where possible) to network and discover potential new talent. Stay engaged with online streams and DJ sets from major EDM events for talent scouting and insights.
  • Administrative Support: Provide organisational support to the A&R department, assisting with meeting coordination, artist schedules, and maintaining databases related to artists and their music releases.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate or currently pursuing graduation from a reputable institute.
  • Exceptional knowledge of EDM, its history, sub-genres, and key players in the industry.
  • Passion for discovering new EDM talent and staying updated with the latest industry trends.
  • Strong interest in artist development, music production, and A&R processes within the EDM space.
  • Experience in music production, DJing, or remixing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative team.
