We are looking for a dynamic A&R specialist to join our new and growing team in Mumbai. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for music, a deep understanding of the Hindi and Punjabi music markets, and the drive to build an artist ecosystem from scratch. You will play a key role in identifying, signing, and developing emerging talent, collaborating with other team members.



Key Responsibilities


Artist Identification & Development

Scout for emerging talent in the Hindi and Punjabi music scenes.

Assess artists' potential and oversee their growth journey through creative and business development strategies.

Build and nurture long-term relationships with artists, guiding them in their creative output.


Music Production & Collaboration

Collaborate with artists, lyricists, composers, and producers to create compelling music.

Oversee the production process, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with market trends.

Provide feedback and creative input to enhance music quality and appeal.


Market Analysis & Trend Spotting

Stay updated on current and emerging trends in Hindi and Punjabi music markets.

Monitor competitors' releases and market performance to maintain a competitive edge.



Artist Ecosystem Building

Develop strategies to establish a robust artist support system, including talent management, live performances, and brand collaborations.

Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, digital, PR) to create opportunities for artists and their music.

Explore collaborations with local and international artists, fostering diversity and innovation.


Network Expansion

Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including event organizers, radio stations, streaming platforms, and media outlets.

Represent the label at music festivals, events, and industry meetups to scout for talent and foster collaborations.



Key Qualifications

  • 5-6 years of experience in A&R, talent management, or related roles in the Hindi and/or Punjabi music industries.
  • Proven track record of scouting and developing successful artists.
  • Strong understanding of music production, marketing, and distribution processes.
  • Deep connections within the Hindi and Punjabi music ecosystems, including artists, composers, and producers.
  • Passion for music and a creative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
