Today, Kauvery is a multi-specialty hospital chain with 2250+ beds in six locations including Trichy, Chennai, Salem, Hosur, Tirunelveli and Bengaluru. With twelve hospitals and a workforce of over 8000+ Kauvery’s mission is to provide exemplary secondary and tertiary care.

Job Description
The Physician Assistant in the Cathlab assists in the delivery of patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures. This role involves pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure assistance, post-procedure care, and ensuring adherence to high standards of clinical practice and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Procedure Preparation :
Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, including obtaining informed consent.
Review patient medical history, lab results, and imaging studies to ensure readiness for procedures.
Assist in the setup and sterilization of Cathlab equipment.
Intra-Procedure Assistance :
Provide direct support to the interventional cardiologist during procedures, including catheter insertion and equipment handling.
Monitor patient vital signs and communicate findings to the medical team.
Ensure proper documentation of procedure details and findings.
Post-Procedure Care :
Assist in patient recovery, including monitoring post-procedure vitals and managing complications.
Provide patient education regarding post-procedure care, medication, and follow-up visits.
Coordinate with nursing staff for smooth patient transitions.
Equipment and Inventory Management :
Ensure the availability and functionality of Cathlab equipment and supplies.
Assist in inventory management and liaise with vendors for timely procurement.
Compliance and Quality Assurance :
Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and Cathlab audits.
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and Cathlab equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
