Python Backend Developer – Level 1

About the Role Our client is looking for a Python Developer – Level I to support the development and maintenance of backend services for modern, AI-driven applications. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who have hands-on experience with Python, REST APIs, and relational databases, and are eager to grow within a high-performance engineering environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend services using Python, Django, or FastAPI Assist in designing and implementing RESTful APIs Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL using ORMs Contribute to building containerized applications with Docker Integrate third-party APIs and assist in AI/LLM-based feature implementation Collaborate with frontend engineers and cross-functional teams Participate in writing unit tests, debugging issues, and supporting CI/CD workflows Follow best practices around security, clean code, and performance Required Technical Skills1–2 years of hands-on Python development experience Basic to intermediate experience with Django or FastAPI Understanding of REST API development Experience with SQL databases and ORM frameworks Familiarity with Git, Docker, and modern development workflows Basic exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript or modern frontend frameworks (preferred but not mandatory) Bonus SkillsExposure to asynchronous Python (asyncio, async FastAPI routes) Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven systems Basic understanding of Kubernetes, Terraform, or CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, or authentication workflows Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Who You AreA motivated early-career backend engineer with strong problem-solving skills, good communication, and a willingness to learn and grow within a modern engineering environment.
