Python Backend Developer – Level II

About the Role Our client is looking for a Python Developer – Level II to help build and maintain scalable backend services powering modern, AI-enabled applications. The role involves working with Django/FastAPI, designing secure and efficient APIs, managing relational databases, building containerized services, and collaborating with frontend and platform teams to deliver robust, high-performance systems. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop scalable backend systems using Python, Django, and FastAPI Design, build, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and backend microservices Model and manage data using PostgreSQL/MySQL and ORMs (Django ORM, SQLAlchemy) Build containerized applications using Docker; deploy, debug, and optimize on Linux Integrate AI/LLM-based features using APIs and model-serving endpoints Collaborate with frontend teams using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability best practices Ensure security, performance optimization, and compliance across services Required Technical SkillsStrong Python fundamentals with 2–4 years of hands-on experience Proficiency in Django and FastAPI Strong understanding of REST API development and backend architecture Experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs Knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows Basic familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks Bonus SkillsAsynchronous Python (asyncio, async FastAPI routes) Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-driven systems Exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, or Ansible Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID, RBAC, and security best practices Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Background in AI model serving, ETL, or compliance-driven systems Who You AreA backend engineer with strong analytical and debugging abilities, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
