About the Role Our client is looking for a Python Developer - Level II to help build and maintain scalable backend services powering modern, AI-enabled applications. The role involves working with Django/FastAPI, designing secure and efficient APIs, managing relational databases, building containerized services, and collaborating with frontend and platform teams to deliver robust, high-performance systems. Key Responsibilities - Develop scalable backend systems using Python, Django, and FastAPI - Design, build, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and backend microservices - Model and manage data using PostgreSQL/MySQL and ORMs (Django ORM, SQLAlchemy) - Build containerized applications using Docker; deploy, debug, and optimize on Linux - Integrate AI/LLM-based features using APIs and model-serving endpoints - Collaborate with frontend teams using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks - Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability best practices - Ensure security, performance optimization, and compliance across services Required Technical Skills - Strong Python fundamentals with 2-4 years of hands-on experience - Proficiency in Django and FastAPI - Strong understanding of REST API development and backend architecture - Experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs - Knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows - Basic familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks Bonus Skills - Asynchronous Python (asyncio, async FastAPI routes) - Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-driven systems - Exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, or Ansible - Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID, RBAC, and security best practices - Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK - Background in AI model serving, ETL, or compliance-driven systems Who You Are A backend engineer with strong analytical and debugging abilities, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
