FCM Travel India | Java Technical Lead | uttar pradesh

Technical Team Lead will take a hands-on role in building, delivering, and maintaining high-quality, reliable, and performant solutions. Additionally, the role will focus on enabling, supporting, and leading the software engineering team within the domain. The Team Lead is responsible for driving technical outcomes, fostering team growth, and continuously developing the team’s capabilities.
Primary Accountabilities & Objectives:
The position involves, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Lead a multi-disciplined software delivery team.
Mentor engineering team members to foster growth and improve performance.
Drive design and architecture of major software applications, systems, and features.
Foster a collaborative, healthy, and innovative engineering culture.
Ensure timely delivery of technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
Design, develop, and deploy applications, microservices, and APIs.
Write secure, testable, and maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews to maintain quality standards and ensure compliance.
Conduct software testing (manual and automated).
Implement monitoring and logging solutions for system health and performance insights.
Analyze business requirements and provide effective solutions.
Maintain and improve documentation across code bases and knowledge bases.
Continuously improve the quality of code, technical debt, standards, processes, and best practices.
Manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance of team members.
Nurture and build a high-performing team.
Remove obstacles to optimize team performance and productivity.
Develop training plans for individual growth and development.
Evolve the team's capabilities to support customer and business needs.
Coach teams to help them achieve their goals.
Foster continuous learning and development for yourself and others.

Essential Experience:
15+ years in building and maintaining software applications.
3+ years in a team lead or people management role.
7+ years experience with Java.
Experience with Oracle / RDS databases.
Expertise in software testing (unit, integration, E2E).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tooling.
Experience with TypeScript , React , and NodeJS .
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure .
Knowledge of Kubernetes .
Proficiency in GitHub Actions .
Desired Experience:
Familiarity with AWS CloudFront , Lambda , and API Gateways .
Experience with observability tools (e.g., Splunk , New Relic ).
Experience working with large-scale websites or e-commerce platforms .
Experience in the travel industry .
Skills & Capabilities:
Motivated, results-driven, and proactive approach.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
A solid understanding of the systems/software development lifecycle.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Excellent facilitation skills.
Ability to lead virtual meetings and workshops.
Good documentation skills (technical and non-technical).
