Job Title: General Manager – Interior Design
Location: Bangalore
Salary: up to £40,000 PA (take home after tax) + accommodation + benefits
Reporting to: Head of Interior Design
Capstone have partnered with a real-estate and urban infrastructure development company headquartered in Bangalore, India. With over two decades of experience in developing properties in Bangalore, Mysore and Goa, this organisation is now focused on developing community-centric townships, imaginatively conceptualized living spaces, energy efficient office spaces, and futuristic infrastructure in Bangalore.
They are looking to hire an exceptional General Manager – Interior Design, to lead a small team, responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities
Design Development & Execution
• Visualize and sketch design plans based on project requirements, ensuring alignment with aesthetic and functional needs.
• Source products and materials, estimate costs, and oversee construction to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements, including inspections and building codes.
Project Management
• Manage design aspects of projects, including budget preparation and tracking.
• Oversee the design of commercial building common areas, corporate office interiors, clubhouses, and residential spaces.
• Monitor the construction stage, troubleshoot on-site queries, and ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Technical Proficiency
• Utilize AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), and rendering tools like SketchUp, Revit, or 3D Max to create and communicate design concepts.
• Ensure a working understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and structural elements to create cohesive design solutions in collaboration with other disciplines.
Documentation & Cost Management
• Prepare and review BOQs (Bill of Quantities), ensuring cost estimates align with benchmarks for similar projects.
• Develop standard specification documents and assessment models for streamlined project execution.
Strategic Contributions
• Conduct feasibility studies and market research for new project typologies.
• Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency.
• Stay updated on market trends and provide insights to align design strategies with industry benchmarks.

Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a reputed institute.
Experience:
• Significant experience in interior design, with proven expertise in handling end-to-end design and execution processes.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D Max, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of MEP and structural systems.
