With over two decades of experience in developing properties in Bangalore, Mysore and Goa, this organisation is now focused on developing community-centric townships, imaginatively conceptualized living spaces, energy efficient office spaces, and futuristic infrastructure in Bangalore.

Job Objective
The Design Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing design project deliveries within the design department, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and best practices. This role demands a balance between managing multi-stakeholder relationships and overseeing design development to achieve timely and high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the VP of Design to develop and implement design delivery strategies that align with individual project goals.
• Ensure the design team adheres to best practices and fosters a process-oriented, problem-solving culture.
• Manage relationships between internal design teams and external consultants, vendors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
Operational Responsibilities:
• Schedule and oversee multiple design projects to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to resolve challenges and enhance design outcomes.
• Conduct regular reviews of design outputs to maintain consistency with project standards and schedules.
• Work closely with the VP of Design to manage design change requests, considering project dynamics and external factors.
• Organize and document design audits to ensure the quality and timeliness of project deliverables.
• Align key design stakeholders with project stakeholders during the design review process led by the VP of Design.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to manage their deliverables effectively.
Financial Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the VP of Design to monitor design budgets and allocate resources effectively.
• Review the financial implications of design changes and recommend resource optimization strategies.
People Management:
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment by implementing effective systems and processes.

1. Project Delivery: Timely delivery of design-related milestones.
2. Quality Control: High-quality standards with minimal revisions.
3. Innovation: Adoption and implementation of innovative design management solutions.
4. Team Performance: Increased collaboration and efficiency.
5. Financial Alignment: Resource optimization to minimize overheads and avoid repeat work.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Architecture, Design, or related fields.
• Significant experience in managing design projects, with exposure to large-scale and complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of design processes, systems, and quality standards.
• Proven ability to independently manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, even without direct reporting authority.

Internal Interface:
• VP of Design, Heads of Departments (HODs), and cross-departmental teams.
